copper mandala composed with chrysanthemum blooms, hydrangea foliage and viburnum leaves on 24” diameter copper panel with 14” central mirror.
construction details: a 27” diameter copper sheet is adhered to a 1/2” deep 24” diameter plywood base; the copper is notched and wrapped over the wooden edge and tacked into place on the reverse with copper tacks. the ground-edge mirror hangs on the front of the mandala from a french cleat [for safe moving and cleaning]; the entire unit wall mounts using provided french cleat hardware. the rendered patina’s final sealant is Hydroclear Satin by Sculpt Nouveau, providing the best protection for the leaf patina.
