the bee's knees

from $135.00

copper pollinator house made for beneficial insects to winter over in your garden. An assortment of copper fittings are arranged in a gentle sculptural cascade. Adding bamboo and mosses inside the circular fittings gives solitary mason bees and predator insects such as ladybugs and lacewings a refuge over the winter while providing a focal point in your garden year round.

Secure the pollinator house to a garden fence or outdoor wall, preferably south facing and near a spring food source, using two outdoor screws near the top and bottom of the sculptural shelter. You can replace nesting materials each year at the end of the growing season.

These houses are made to order so please allow 2 to 4 weeks for custom fabrication. Structures are available in three finishes: polished raw copper ($125), jade blue patina or tiffany green patina ($135). All are approximately 10” x 3” x 2”, and weigh about one pound.

Choose our furnished option with bamboo and moss for an additional $20. Each cascade is one-of-a kind and may differ slightly from the samples shown.
